PHOTO REPRINTS
After numerous requests we are pleased to announce that we can now offer photo reprints of many of the images and pictures on this site, including pictures from Cosey's galleries, TG, COUM, CTI and of course C&C.
These are high quality prints and where possible are reproduced from original negatives, or in the case of magazine spreads/pages reproduced from high resolution scans. Reprints are available in colour and black/white and individually printed on heavyweight (180gsm) semi-gloss paper and offered in two standard sizes which are ideal for framing or mounting.
6" x 4" are £2 each
10" x 8" are £6 each
Prices are the same for both colour and black/white prints:

Pictures available for reprinting are indicated by an order number under the gallery thumbnail image, If you wish to order a reprint you will need to quote the order number and the size of print required (there is a minimum reprint order of £12, see details on the CTI Mail Order page)

PHOTO REPRINTS LATEST UPDATE
So far all photo orders received have been for the larger 10"x8" reprints. Because of the lack of interest in the smaller size we have decided to stop offering 6"x4" prints.
Also please note if you have recently ordered photos: We have now cleared our backlogs and all reprints are being dispatched within approx. 1-2 weeks.

CHRIS & COSEY WEB SITE
After months of redesigning and rewriting the new Chris and Cosey web site is now online, and we also have a new web site address: www.chrisandcosey.com (or www.chrisandcosey.co.uk). We've taken visitors comments on the previous site and have hopefully made some worthwhile and useful changes. The most obvious change is that the site navigation bar should now be visible at all times making it easier and quicker to find the section or pages you are looking for.

One of the biggest changes is the amount of information now included and as promised we have included very comprehensive Throbbing Gristle, COUM Transmissions and Industrial Records sections. These include dozens of pages linked to hundreds of images and text files. We have also increased the amount of Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti material, including (after many many requests) more Cosey photo's.
However, there are a couple of down sides to all these improvements. For a start it's going to take the average visitor hours to view all this information, the other is that even though we have reduced size of some of the graphics files (Cosey's colour photo spreads in particular) we have run out of web space on our current ISP (25Mb) . What this means is that there are still a couple of unfinished sections, this includes the much requested DOWNLOADS pages. These pages are set-up and ready to go but we just don't have the space to upload the files at present. You'll also find there are also a few other areas that we'll add files to when we can.
We will probably change our present ISP early next year (when our current contract finishes) and move to a bigger site provider but as long as you use the www.chrisandcosey.com address you'll follow us wherever we go. As we've said before the ChrisAndCosey.com web site is a work in progress and we'll be making regular improvements and additions, please bear with us as we also have recording and art projects to do.

COSEY'S HEART CONDITION
A summary of Cosey's operation is available in the previous newsletter.
At this point in time although Cosey is feeling a lot better the attempt to 'cure' her underlying heart condition at Papworth remains unresolved. Encouragingly though, Cosey's heart specialist has suspended the drug treatment she had been on for the last four years. This has improved her 'well being' to a great extent and she is now 'rehabilitating' her body to 'normal' activities and a return to a level of physical fitness she enjoyed previously. However, as the specialist is uncertain as to whether the condition will return as spontaneously as it appeared, he has advised avoidance of stressful situations and over exertion, gigs are off the agenda for now. This does not rule out the odd 'lecture' etc. which call for less overall stress and are more logistically controllable. The Union Chapel gig resulted in a very long recuperation period.
We can't thank you ALL enough for your support and thoughts throughout.

CHRIS & COSEY 'UNION' PERFORMANCE NOW AVAILABLE ON CD
Considering what was going on in Cosey's life the weeks preceding the C&C gig on the 30th May at the Chapel Union, London it went better than any of us could have hoped for. To celebrate the performance, and so that all those who couldn't attend get to hear what it was like, we have released 'UNION' a 1 hour live album of the event.
The performance was extensively documented and we've compiled this album from what we considered to be the best sources for each track and although this is a top quality, full length recording we have decided to release it is as a budget CD with a recommended price of only £8 (+p&p).
There is a review of UNION by Jon Whitney on the Brainwashed site: http://www.brainwashed.com/brain

NEW CHRIS CARTER SOLO ALBUM & COLLABORATION
SMALL MOON is Chris Carter's first studio release since his acclaimed 1985 MONDO BEAT album and follows hot on the heels of his recent live album DISOBEDIENT. This album is a departure from his previous style and features dense, high energy rhythms and mixes that are going down a storm in clubs and on the airwaves. Physically reactive listening with that characteristic Carter 'edge'. There is a review of SMALL MOON by Jon Whitney on the Brainwashed site: http://www.brainwashed.com/brain
SMALL MOON is available NOW from CTI MAIL ORDER , or your local record store.

OTHER COLLABORATIONS & COMPILATIONS
Forthcoming C&C collaborations include:
Cosey is currently collaborating on a song with John Balance for a forthcoming COIL album.
http://www.brainwashed.com/coil/
Cosey is in negotiations with composer Adam Di Angelo about possibly doing some vocals for tracks on his new album. More details as and when we get them.
Chris is currently working on a new collaboration CD with electro-synthesist Ian Boddy. This is due for release around March 2000 on Ian's own DiN label. http://www.DiN.org
C&C are working on a number of projects for other labels and artists including:
An exclusive track for the follow-up to the cult classic <> fetish CD compilation.
http://www.o-magazine.com/indexAB.html
An exclusive track for the forthcoming sequel to the brilliant Halcyon ambient Oscillations album.

CTI MAIL ORDER
After some initial crossing of fingers CTI Mail Order can be deemed a success. We would like to thank all who have (and continue to) support it. We know there is still some resistance by web surfers to order online using a credit card (although all recent reports show that you have more chance of you credit card number being stolen or misused in a restaurant than on-line) so please remember we also offer a phone and fax ordering service. In the coming months we hope to announce some special CTI Mail Order only special offers including: limited edition prints, rare TG ephemera, photo's of Cosey and more limited edition CD's.

EXOTIKA / TAKE FIVE DOUBLE CD RE-RELEASE
To accompany this re-release we have produced a special Chris & Cosey T-shirt featuring the Exotika logo across the chest and C&C logo on the sleeve. These are in stock now, see the CTI MAIL ORDER page for details.

DUGGA DUGGA DUGGA
The Dugga Dugga Dugga CD with various artists playing the WIRE song 'Drill' (including C&C) is out now. More information and a full track list of artists can be found on the C&C discography pages, (DUGGA CD). We still have some copies for sale through our mail order section, see CTI MAIL ORDER list for prices and ordering info.

DRIFTING a.f.u.
This is a limited edition Mute/Blast First CD given away to ticket holders at the recent Union Chapel 'Drifting' festival. It features a continuous 48 minute 'Drifting DJ mix' by Robin Guthrie of tracks by : Chris & Cosey, Silo,Labradford, Tony Conrad, Casper Brotzmann, Sonic Youth, Charlemagne Palestine, Pan American, Rothro and Robin Guthrie. Regardless of what it may say on the CD cover C&C feature heavily in the first half of the album.
We have managed to obtain a number of these CD's which are still available from the CTI MAIL ORDER page.

CTI LIBRARY OF SOUND FOUR 'P O I N T S E V E N'
Continuing in the spirit of the Library of Sound series the new album is mainly instrumental with only two tracks featuring Cosey's vocals. It's always very difficult to describe CTI / C&C's music, never more than with this release which merges both faces of their distinctive sound. Check out the CTI MAIL ORDER page to see how to order a copy.

UNION CHAPEL PERFORMANCE VIDEO
Although the recent C&C performance at the Union Chapel in London was extensively documented the low lighting required for the screens and projections resulted in poorer video quality than we had hoped for. However we haven't viewed all the footage yet (including some 16 mm film and additional DV sources) and hopefully there may be something we can use at a future date.

CHRIS & COSEY LIVE VOLUME TWO
We now have full digital video editing facilities and have gathered numerous tapes and video footage from our USA and Canadian tours of the late 80's and early 90's. Some of the tapes need a degree of re-mastering and restoration but once this is done we can compile the tracks and songs into a finished tape. If all goes to plan we are hoping to release C&C Live Volume Two in mid 2000 (possibly on VHS and DVD).

CHRIS & COSEY LIVE CD
Depending on how well the new live C&C 'UNION' album is received we are considering releasing another budget priced live CD from archive material we have accumulated (DAT, cassette and video) from C&C tours of the 1980' and early 90's. But it won't be until 2000.

CTI LIBRARY OF SOUND FIVE and 'CORE TWO'
We have decided to combine the forthcoming CTI Library of Sound Five and the (near legendary) Core sequel album into one release, and probably as a double CD album. At this stage we are still in discussion with friends and collaborators so we can't name 'names' yet. But some contributors from the original Core project are already involved plus some artists we haven't worked with before. Recording has begun and we are aiming to release LoS5C2 in the first quarter of 2000 on the CTI label through World Serpent distribution.

AND FINALLY
As the end of another year appears on the horizon we would like to thank all our fans and friends for their continued support though 1999.

NEWS & UPDATES - 1999 -
PART TWO

COSEY's HEART OPERATION
Cosey's heart operation, took place on the May 19th at Papworth Hospital, England. To summarise...
After nearly three hours on the operating table the underlying problem with Cosey's heart is still unresolved.
Cosey had three angiograms and many drugs pumped through her to try and trigger her heart into a sustained Tachycardia so as to trace the source of the problem (not a pleasant procedure). Unfortunately her heart (which is normal and healthy) kept compensating too quickly for the surgeons to trace the source of the rogue triggering and correct it using an ablation procedure. The surgeons suspect that the reason for this 'compensating' effect could be due to traces of her medication still being in her system and her doctor (in hindsight) should have taken her off her drug sooner than the 4-5 days they requested. A good thing to come out of this is that they can now say for sure that her heart and arteries are healthy and normal, the 'electrical' problem lies elsewhere near the heart. They noted that there appears to be some slight spontaneous improvement in the Tachycardia rhythm and because she feels so much more like her previous 'self' she needn't start taking her heart medication again unless she gets a severe attack. Also they don't feel that the condition is as life threatening, although she could be prone to faint if she had a severe attack. She's also VERY sore from the incisions and is taking it easy till the C&C gig, which the specialist said was fine to go ahead with. So some good news but something of an anticlimax and Cosey is feeling more positive about her condition each day.
Thank you ALL so much for your support and thoughts.

C&C PERFORMANCE

In the wake of the previous few weeks events it's a pleasure to tell you that Chris & Cosey's gig on the 30th May at the Chapel Union, London was better than any of us could have hoped for. C&C were overwhelmed by the response to the gig and would like to thank the many friends and fans who turned up from all over the world to make the evening such a momentous and historic event. We would like to thank John Lacey (and his banks of projectors and special effects) for pulling out all the stops and giving us such a spectacular visual extravaganza for everyone to feast their eyes on. Thanks also go to Labradford and everyone at Foundation, Blast First and Mute for all their efforts in making the C&C gig and the DRIFTING festival such a success.

C&C DRIFTING
Many have asked if the limited edition CD given away to ticket holders will be available separately. DRIFTING a.f.u. features a continuous 48 minute 'Drifting DJ mix' by Robin Guthrie of: Chris & Cosey, Silo, Labradford, Tony Conrad, Casper Brotzmann, Sonic Youth, Charlemagne Palestine, Pan American, Rothro and Robin Guthrie (and regardless of what it may say on the CD cover C&C feature heavily in the first half). We have managed to obtain a limited number of these CD's which are available from the CTI MAIL ORDER page. We are also hoping to release a CD and/or video of the gig later in 1999 and are currently busy comparing and compiling tapes to obtain the best possible representation of the evening.

SMALL MOON
This is Chris Carter's first studio release since his acclaimed 1985 MONDO BEAT album and follows hot on the heels of his recent live album DISOBEDIENT. This album is a departure from his previous style and features dense, high energy rhythms and mixes that have already won acclaim from DJ's on both sides of the Atlantic. Be prepared for some foot stomping, thigh slapping good time music with that characteristic Carter 'edge'. Physically reactive listening!
Available NOW from your local record store.

NEW EXHIBITION FEATURING COSEY'S ART
A new SCIENCE HOLIDAY exhibition has recently opened in Los Angeles which features new paintings and drawings by Cosey. The exhibition has been put together by Skot Armstrong (of SCIENCE HOLIDAY) and can be viewed at the DiRT Gallery, 7906 Santa Monica Blvd #218, Hollywood, CA 90046. Also included are works by Rick Castro, Jane Cantillon, Lynda Burdick, Dan Wininger, Jeff Gillette, Laurie Hassold, Carmen A. White and a new work by Skot Armstrong titled 'The Digital Polaroid Effect'. Gallery opening hours are Tuesday-Saturday 12-5 and the exhibition is open until the 12th

C&C WEB SITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION
As many of you have noticed (and inquired about) some sections and pages of this site are still under construction, some three months after coming online. The reason for this is twofold. Firstly, we didn't realise quite how much work would be involved in producing such a relatively complex project and secondly all of the site work is done by Chris and Cosey themselves. So, along with all their other projects, it just boils down to a lack of spare time. Please bear with us on this, because as we originally said this site is an evolving work in progress, we'll get there, eventually.

CTI MAIL ORDER CREDIT CARD FACILITIES NOW AVAILABLE
After many requests we have decided to take the not inconsiderable plunge and set up full credit card facilities and we can now accept most major international credit and debit cards on the CTI Mail Order site. We would have introduced this method of payment earlier but setting up this facility for such a relatively small scale operation such as ours proved to be a lot more complex than we anticipated, the investment quite considerable and so we had to be sure it would be worthwhile delving into this new financial territory. While we cannot yet offer so called 'secure' online transactions (the set-up costs were far too prohibitive for us) fans can still e-mail, fax or post their details to us. see the CTI MAIL ORDER page for more details. For the CTI credit card facility to succeed (and to continue) will mean primarily relying on purchases by visitors to the C&C web site and from replies to our mail-shots...so please try and support us by buying from CTI Mail Order.

EXOTIKA / TAKE FIVE DOUBLE CD RE-RELEASE - update
Production on the newly re-mastered Exotika / Take Five double album is complete, with stock due any day. Both albums have been digitally restored and re-mastered (not remixed) and the release is presented in a specially designed 6-panel Digisleeve featuring new artwork, shots of the original covers and new sleeve notes concerning the original releases and the re-mastering. It features an unreleased C&C track from the same period as Exotika and a brand new extended hybrid megamix of both Exotika and October Love Song together. To accompany this important re-release we will be producing a special Chris & Cosey T-shirt featuring the new Exotika / Take Five C&C Cupie doll logos featured on the album sleeve. The shirts will be be available in a few weeks.

COSEY EXHIBITING IN 'OUT OF ACTIONS'
The travelling exhibition 'Out of Actions, Between Performance and the Object. 1949-1979' has now moved from Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo, Japan. The exhibition will be open to the public from from 11th February to 11th April . Telephone: Tokyo 03 5245 4111. This seminal show celebrates performance art including over 100 dynamic artists from all over the world, including to name but a few, Cosey F. Tutti, John Duncan, Hermann Nitsch, Otto Muhl, Claes Oldenburg, Schwarzkogler, Gilbert & George, Joseph Beuys, Yoko Ono and many many more. If you are in the area and get the time, pop along and have a look. The exhibition will continue on tour throughout 1999, visiting and ending in Osaka. As and when we know of the opening dates in Osaka we will post them on this site.

COUM/THROBBING GRISTLE BOOK LAUNCH AT I.C.A. LONDON
The long awaited COUM/Throbbing Gristle book (Wreckers of Civilisation: The Story of COUM Transmissions and Throbbing Gristle) by Simon Ford has just been published and to celebrate the launch a special event was recently held at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (I.C.A.) in London, England, home of both the infamous 1976 COUM, PROSTITUTION exhibition and also the venue of the first major public appearance of TG.

The book launch was very well attended and we would like to thank all who turned up for a chance to see the book and rub shoulders with ex-TG members and the author. Some fine music was supplied courtesy of DJs Aphasic and Scud and many previously unseen projections were shown from various private archives. The ICA cinema showed some classic TG video's and films and a great time was had by all. John Eden's Caution site has a review/commentary of the evenings events and even a few pictures: http://www.tif.org/caution/coum.html

The Wreckers of Civilisation is 'not a fly by night' biography but a serious attempt to place COUM and Throbbing Gristle in the history books of all that's important in art and music. It contains input by all members of TG (who have been consulted throughout), previously unpublished photo's, original correspondence and an extensive bibliography and discography on COUM Transmissions and Throbbing Gristle. It will be available in all good book shops and libraries.

CTI LIBRARY OF SOUND, EDITION FOUR 'POINT SEVEN'
Continuing in the spirit of the Library of Sound series the new album is mainly instrumental with only two tracks featuring Cosey's vocals. It's always very difficult to describe CTI/C&C's music, never more than with this release which merges both faces of their distinctive sound. Check it out via C&C mail order or your local record store. Check out the CTI MAIL ORDER page to see how to order a copy.

DISOBEDIENT
This CD is the third solo album by Chris Carter and his first brand new release for more than twelve years. This electronic album was recorded in Manchester, London and Vienna during the 1995 Blast First 'Disobey' tour and features Chris playing live using samplers and synths and without the use of backing tapes. "58 minutes of electroluminescent bliss" ESSENTIAL LISTENING ! Check out the CTI MAIL ORDER page to see how to order a copy.
Chris is also currently working on a series of new studio solo albums and collaborations.

VIDEO PROJECT ON HOLD
Unfortunately the planned release of the second C&C Live Volume Two video has been put on hold, as have all our current video projects. This is due to the financial problems mentioned in the previous newsletter, which continue to dog us two years on from the effects of the initial catastrophe. Once we have upgraded our studio will will recommence work on the project.

DUGGA DUGGA DUGGA
The Dugga Dugga Dugga CD with various artists playing 'Drill', the track by Wire is out now. More information and a full track list of artists can be found on the C&C discography pages, (DUGGA CD). We have copies for sale through our mail order section, see CTI MAIL ORDER list for prices and ordering info.

AND FINALLY
As another year begins we would like to wish you all our fans and friends the best for 1999, and if Cosey gets back to full health maybe we'll get to make some long awaited personal appearances.
